Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder; so bring out the beauty in you

Beauty

Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder it is often said. So it’s just right to make yourself look as beautiful as possible for your own satisfaction, and for others to admire. So here are some beauty tips that help bring out all that hidden beauty in you.

The first thing that people notice when they meet you is your face, your teeth and a nice smile. This is why it’s important that you make your teeth and smile the best possible as the best and first impression you give others is through your smile. You may have to make regular dental appointments to ensure your teeth are healthy, and if required, wear braces for straight teeth and whitening treatments so that your teeth give an attractive smile.

Too much of makeup can make you look worse than not wearing any makeup at all. So when you wear makeup, wear sufficient makeup to make yourself look attractive, and don’t overdo things. You have to get a naturally looking but attractive look with makeup on otherwise you only end up being branded a ‘cheap’ woman.

Practice good hygiene

It’s not enough to just wear makeup, you have to always avoid body odor by taking regular showers and by practicing basic hygiene habits. If required, you could also look for a good perfume as it helps you smell good to people around and thus leave a good impression in their eyes.

However while applying perfume, make sure you apply just enough to let others notice it, and not trigger water in their eyes. So apply perfume in small amounts instead of overdoing it, and turning people off.

Eat a balanced diet and exercise

Eat a balanced diet to make you look and feel good to those around you. Your diet should thus include the proper vitamins and minerals required for a healthy body, which will also be reflected in how your body looks and feels. In addition to a balanced diet, drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to bring out the beauty in you.

Exercise is very important to look and remain beautiful as without exercise, you tend to gain weight. Obesity and being overweight will not help you in attracting others, and letting them get to know you better. Girls in good shape get more attention and are more attractive to others than their fat counterparts. Moreover, being in good shape is also healthier for you as it makes you feel better about yourself.

The clothes you wear can help offset any shortcomings you have because of your looks and physique. Choose clothes that enhance your best features, while minimizing your poor ones.

Self-confidence is very important

Besides makeup, exercise and clothes, you need confidence to bring out the beauty in you. It is this confidence in some people who may not look beautiful, but are still popular amongst family and friends.

Having self-confidence proves that you feel good about yourself, and that you don’t let others put you down or bully you. Moreover, your self-confidence acts as a magnet that attracts others around you.

Maintain a good complexion

To bring out the beauty in you, you have to ensure your complexion is at its best by making a visit to the dermatologist or to the nearest department store to find out the right skin care products meant for your skin type.

While your dermatologist is the best person to help you if you have dull and lifeless skin, for those with regular skin, you can ask friends for suggestions, or get samples at the cosmetic counters to try and find the right skin products for your skin type.

Wear sunscreen when outdoors for healthy skin

Don’t wear all the cosmetics available in the market; it’s better to choose only 3-4 cosmetics you need for your daily cosmetics routine. It could be a concealer, lip gloss, eye shadow and mascara. If you are used to wearing more makeup and want to reduce your makeup to get a natural look, it’s better to slowly reduce the makeup you wear bit by bit. Keep reducing your makeup till you get the natural look you are looking for.

It’s better to wearsunscreen if you spend lots of time outdoors, in the hot sun. Wearing sunscreen all the time, especially on your face helps ensure you maintain a healthy and natural glow for years to come. You can also protect the delicate area around your eye from the harsh sun rays by wearing some good pair of sunglasses.

As eyebrows help in framing your face, get the right eyebrow shape from a specialist. Once you get the right shape for your brows, you can do your weekly plucking maintenance at home.

Get your hair cut by a specialist who knows how to create a wash and wear hairstyle that suits your hair’s length and texture and your facial features.

Nail and hair care

You could use the help of natural beauty products you make at home to bring out the natural beauty in you. These products are safe and natural, and are made using simple and organic ingredients that are usually available in your home pantry.

For longer, stronger and glossier fingernails, add some daily over-the-counter glucosamine supplement to your nails every night. You will notice an improvement in the length and appearance of your nails within a month’s of its application.

Practice the most basic of hair care and beauty tips by washing your hair regularly using shampoo and conditioner meant for your hair type. Those frequently on the go or who stay outdoors for long periods should shampoo your hair every day and ifyou are a homebody, you can wash your hair every other day or even once a week.

Don’t forget your feet

Most women concentrate on the beauty of their face and hair, and neglect their hands and feet. So for soft and supple hands, rub moisturizing creams on it to prevent peeling, roughness and cracking and have a weekly manicure to keep your fingernails looking neat and pretty.

Regarding your feet, pamper them once a week with a foot bath by soaking your feet in a basin of warm water to which you add a tablespoon of bath salts and olive oil for 15 minutes. Then scrub away the exfoliated skin and dirt, after which you have to rinse your feet with cold water and dry with a towel.

Learning to bring out the beauty in you is not something you can learn and master in a day or two. It is a continuous self-improvement project that spans a lifetime which helps in bringing out the inner beauty in you with each passing day.
